I’m Katy, a visual storyteller with a documentary heart. Let’s bring your story to life.

15 Years in Non-fiction Story Editing…

I’m a documentary film editor with roots at National Geographic and a five-year creative detour into UX design—where I brought story-driven thinking to digital tools, including Google’s. Now back in the edit chair full-time, I’m based in Denver, where I chose to put down roots after years in NYC and DC.

I specialize in crafting emotionally resonant story arcs and developing real, dimensional characters—whether in Emmy-nominated investigative documentaries, conservation films shot solo in Rwanda, or branded stories for Red Bull. My work spans topics from domestic abuse to wildlife trafficking, always with a deep respect for the complexity of human experience.

5 Years Designing Digital Experiences

Five years in UX sharpened my instincts for audience empathy and narrative clarity—skills I now bring back to nonfiction film with even more intentionality.

Outside the studio, you’ll find me in the mountains or mentoring youth in the outdoors. Let’s connect—I’d love to help you tell a story that sticks.

I was impressed how she was able to provide accessibility expert guidance to UX Design, UX Content, and FE engineers in such a short period of time!" --Doris Yee, L7 UX Director, Google

  • "Katy demonstrated exceptional work ethics, good ability to listen and take input from a diverse group of people across multiple functions (eng, ux, pm, management stakeholders), express her ideas and drive the project to completion." --Baldvin Kovács, L6 SWE-SRE Team Lead @ Google
